The paperless office may still seem a remote prospect but our new input facility (released with Version 10) offers a way to dramatically reduce the need for finance teams to work with hard-copy originals.
CODA-ImagePost is a new ultra-efficient input facility that has been designed to automate the posting of purchase invoice documents to CODA-Financials, from electronic files that the user has created by scanning the original documents. It can process invoices either individually or in batches.
The application can be set up to recognize the relevant fields and data from the file to post a summary line for each invoice to the Intray. At the same time, it associates the image file of the original with this posted document so that it can be viewed by drilling down from Browse Details or if the user wants to edit or add to the details in the Intray that have been automatically captured.
The result is a much more efficient process that removes the need for rekeying data, reducing the risk of manual errors and giving swifter, shared access to the relevant documents.
